Coaching creates collaboration
Research and actual workplace observation reveals that leadership coaching improves positive collaboration: with other team members, customers and vendors. When coaching is integrated throughout an organization, team members naturally invite others into conversations and processes. They ask exploratory questions and listen to input of others, focusing on the shared outcomes and how they can be achieved by working together. Silos begin to disappear. Coaching provides a framework for conversations throughout the organization – even in cases of a conflict – a structure that allows everyone to bring their thoughts and give their opinions as part of the solution. Team members are more likely to make agreements, compromise when needed, create project partnerships and work together to contribute to the solution. It results in enhanced outcomes for the individual, the team and the organization.
